Opportunity Action Plans
We work in partnership with select organisations who want to go further in demonstrating their commitment to the levelling up agenda, demonstrating their purpose and making an impact on boosting social mobility. Increasingly, organisations are thinking about the vital steps they can take to be part of the solution on boosting opportunity and social mobility in the wake of COVID-19.
We work with these organisations to open source share their social mobility best practice, put a plan in place in order to go further in their social mobility commitments, develop innovative social mobility solutions and measure the impact and value they are having.
An Opportunity Action Plan is based on the Social Mobility Action Plan published by the DfE in 2017. You can work with any organisation, such as the Social Mobility Pledge, to develop a plan.
An Opportunity Action Plan must contain the 6 following elements:
A clear understanding of the UK’s Opportunity Gap including: a) its wider social mobility context and b) the impact of COVID-19
Examples of current internal best practice
Case studies
Place based data analysis of current operations with regard to: a) social mobility and b) COVID-19
External analysis of the issues facing your organisation and recommendations
